STRASBOURG | 02- 04- 2009 | We are people from the protest camp against the NATO Summit. We demonstrate against the repression taking place right now and want to express our solidarity with our friends in London and their fight and resistance ageinst the G20 meeting. Yesterday an activist died during the demonstration in London. In this context we express our grief and anger about the death of this friend. His death is a consequence of the terrible methods of supression and police brutality which aim to intimidate us and break our resistance.
In Strassbourg too, police acts in an escalating manner. A lot of people have been stopped and kept at the border, the camp is beeing surveilled by the police. All these measures shall suppress our protest against the mass killings by war, torture and repression and our struggle for a humane and peaceful world. For the same reason as we are here these days, our friend who died yesterday was on the streets of London. All of this shows the hypocrite propaganda of the war making NATO states. They neither bring peace with their bombs, nor democracy by repression . Thanks to NATO we now know, what occupation looks like. Their respression will not stop us. We will continue protesting and continue our resistance.
When justice turns into injustice, resistance becomes a duty. Join us!
